- Robbie’s main focus for ESI is Apex Legends, covering the professional Apex Legends Global Series scene as well as the culture surrounding the game and its wide breadth of players. He also dabbles in Pokemon, a game that continues to capture the hearts and minds of gamers of all ages. He also writes about the nerd and geek lifestyle that is influencing modern day culture through video games, comic books and tabletop role playing games.
- His career in video games, spanning over 16 years, started in college at Central Michigan University, where he co-created and co-hosted Limit Break Radio for the popular MMO Final Fantasy XI. That project eventually spawned a video game centered podcast called Final Encounter Cast which evolved into Checkpoint Radio. After selling Checkpoint Radio to Beasley Media and birthing CheckpointXP, Robbie hosted and produced several shows (Podcast & Radio) and did written content for the brand.
- Among the shows and podcasts were CheckpointXP on national radio, The Other Identity (Comics & Culture) and The OWLs Nest (Overwatch).
- Robbie is a fan of RPGs, Dungeons & Dragons and is a professional Game Master. He streams on his Twitch Channel in his off-time playing Apex Legends and Dungeons & Dragons.
